Today we sorted out a part of our equipment,
approximately estimating how many days we will be on the way,
how much and what kind of food we need, and how much gasoline to use for one day.
Judging from my experience of mountain climbing it must be about 150 ml of gasoline for one person per day.
We decided to bring one liter per day for the group of 3 people, it is 2 times bigger.
Foods are too much from the viewpoints of calories.
I removed some of them and make the sledge lighter.

Our Team (Håvard, Me, Mitsuro and Joe)
|
As I expected, we did not need much clothes.
Thanks to the scientists and modern technologies,
we can keep ourselves very warm in light clothes.
Also the clothes can be well compressed and can be recovered without loosing their warm properties.

Mitsuro Oba and Me set up the tent
|
Very nice mittens, I want the same!
|
We set up the tent. The snow skirt is very good.
Tonight I will stay in the tent and try sleeping bags.
There are three kinds of them: two synthetic and one downy.
The tent is roomy, but for three people with winter things it may be a bit tight.
We will live there two months and see.

A part of the way we are supposed to use parasail.
If it will be a tail wind and appropriate plain,
using the parasail will significantly accelerate our movement.
We bring three kinds of parasail with us.
They have different shapes and different squares for various kinds of wind speeds and wind directions.
Today the wind speed was about 10 m/s and the wind was blowing from a side direction.
So the most appropriate parasail was one in the picture.
