Global warming is an very important issue but is not well understood yet. Role of air pollution in the climate is one of the key scientific themes to understand the mechanism of climate change. Air pollutants are thought to play an important role in the climate by scattering (cooling) or absorbing (heating) of solar light. Scattering and absorbing of solar light depend much on the pollutants quantity and color. We, therefore, examine air pollutants fallen onto snow in the Arctic.

There might be some advantage of the global warming particularly for the people living in cold region. Actually, Dr. Svante Arrhenius, the first Swedish scientist who predicted the global warming in 1896 mentioned that people in future would be able to enjoy moderate weather because of global warming by green house effect of CO². However, now scientists of the world focus on the disadvantage of global warming; rapid increase of temperature of the globe can be a cause of climate change which bring us many kind of disaster such as drought, flood, and cyclone and so on.
