There are two instruments I have here at base camp: One is a vacuuming device with filters for taking in the air and filtering air particles. Another is a pH measurement set used to measure degree of acidity in snow. The acidity is determined by the change of color when put into a special tube.

I and my colleague staying at the base-camp are responsible for an air sampler which consists of a pump and a flow-meter to collect atmospheric particulate matters (small dust suspended in the air). We also brought simple test-kits to measure acidification of snow or rain.
