The first journey of "Global EdVenture: Longitudinal Trip Around the World" is about to begin in Greenland. We are all set, and today, on March 30, 2004, we are departing for Greenland.

Using satellite phones and notebook computers, we are looking forward to sending you various kinds of information with exciting pictures from the Greenland ice cap. Please feel free to ask us any questions.

During the expedition we will be aided by a powerful piece of equipment (kite) called a skisail, our secret weapon, which will speed us forward. I am already feeling so excited, and my heart is pounding now. I will try to calm myself down and do my best, so please cheer us on!
