Ohba Departs Grise Fiord
During his brief stop at Grise Fiord, Ohba communicated with many people. Some of those were, children and grand children of the people who kindly hosted him 19 years ago. He had a talk at Umminmak School with children as well as some adults.
ZMore than 10 children came over to the lodge when he conversed with school children of Fuchu and Mitsuzawa Elementary schools over the phone, and they exchanged some questions.
One of the questions they asked each other was; 'what is your favorite food?'Their answer from Yamagata was, 'Sushi, Yakiniku', and from Grise Fiord was;'Polar bear, seal and caribou'.
Ohba has left Grise Fiord in the afternoon of April 19th, heading toward his next stop Eureka, 500km farther north.
