A white wolf around Eureka, "Arctic wolf"

White wolves are making their habitat in the northern mountains from Eureka. They live in the quite different way from wolves in the woods. Some of them come get food by the window of Weather Station building. The scene is just like wild nature and humans talk face to face. Though they usually eat musk-oxes, foxes, and rabbits, they seem to eat humans' leftover. They seem to gather at a drop-off site in a group of over ten.

I saw a white wolf once 3 years ago. As soon as it came near Weather Station, it turned back. I thought it was a white dog at that time because I was hardly able to see its sight and it had no look of scary and savage image.

This time I find a white wolf, and walk after it. It soused pee over sea ice to claim its territory as marking behavior. It also left its excrement. I was surprised that size of its footprint and width of clearance between its two fingers were quite bigger than those of dogs'.

I had a chance of looking at photos of white wolves, but they looked like house dogs because their white hair was soil dirty lacking of any stormy good look.
