Global Warming

Since our journey started, there have been almost no blizzards what so ever. It's already the 10th day since we left Eureka, but we had only one windy day. The sun is shining in the clear sky and I feel the warm spring air. Although the temperature is about -30C°, there is almost no wind at all. This is due to a warm climate. Twenty years ago when I explored the Canadian Arctic, I recall experiencing a succession of blizzards and the temperature was lower as well. If the climate is cold, the sun will warm up the air, the difference between cold and warm atmosphere will become large, and the strong wind will begin to blow and eventually turn into a blizzard. I get the feeling that the arctic is suffering greatly from global warming.
