Relax

March 6 is the chosen date for the flight to Ward Hunt Island, the start point of the expedition. Today also everyone was able to have relaxing time in the hotel. I stayed in the hotel all day long and spent time communicating with the office in Japan and editing videos to send to Japan.

Stepan the Russian member says computing is one of his hobbies. He knows many things about computers. He can even handle a computer with Japanese specifications.

At night there was an interesting event in town, which was to pay to experience the stay in a detention room in the police station, a small building where there is only one policeman (for detail see the journal dated 21st of February).

The money is actually corrected to cover the travel expenses of a volleyball team in Resolute Bay. So this event was a part of fundraising activities. The way that the radio station publicizes the event and the police offers the place for donation is very interesting.

I also wanted to experience being detained in the police station, but I couldn't go as we had a schedule for a communication with a Japanese media.
