Difficult path ahead
I've got a phone call from the team at 9:50 in the morning.
They seemed very tired.
They entered inland from Arctic Ocean and they are now walking through a valley.
They said due to steep slopes and deep snow it is very hard to haul a sled weighing 100kg.
5 or 6km is the most they can cover in a day.
If they continue at this pace, it will take 2 months to get to Eureka, which is 600km away from where they are now.
So we decided to transport resupplies for the team.
There are no people in Eureka except Canadian government employee who work at a weather station.
So there is an airport. Eureka seems to be a very important in terms of military also.
There are no regular flights between Resolute Bay and Eureka.
So what we can do is to have our goods transported on the next chartered or military flight.
Today I will introduce various pictures.

Jason (above picture) works at CO-OP.
He also works as a housekeeper at the hotel where I am staying.
In the upper right corner you can see a sign of ice cream.
You might wonder why people want to eat ice cream in such a cold place.
But in summer the temperature can reach 20°C.
Also the humidity is very low, so one can get quit thirsty.

He just returned from a polar bear hunting.
He used not rifle but this bow and arrows to hunt the bear.
On the arrow head you can see the blood of the polar bear.
