The expedition forced to change the plan

The expedition team entered inland from Arctic Ocean and they were progressing south through a fiord. However the deep snow and steep slope it became difficult to go on the route with the heavy sleds. So they decided to return to Arctic Ocean and take a roundabout route on the east.

However we have received the news of an English team for North Pole dropped off at a position 30km north of our expedition team. It's 400km by airline distance to Eureka where resupplies are stored. The team had to make a decision whether to take the roundabout route or fly to Eureka. After discussing many things, the team decided to go to Eureka. The airplane is scheduled to drop off the English team at 13:00 tomorrow. Afterward they say they can come and pick up our team.

Today also I will introduce some photos.

CO-OP is the only one supermarket in Resolute Bay. They also provide postal services.

Meat of white whale (Left is boiled and right is raw)
I ate only the boiled ones. When I put soy sauce on them, I really wanted to have hot rice. An Inuit was eating the raw meat without any sauce or spice. The chopsticks shown on the photo were left by Mr. Kohno's team (see the journal dated 9th of March).
